I haven't had the opportunity to teach in a traditional classroom setting, but I gained valuable experience guiding students one-on-one as a tutor. During my studies, I tutored fellow students in Communication Science and Public Relations. This experience allowed me to hone my communication skills, patience, and ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and engaging way. I learned to adapt my teaching approach to individual learning styles and provide constructive feedback to help students improve.
I'm proud to say that my tutoring resulted in significant improvement for my students, with many seeing increased grades and a deeper understanding of the material. In addition to tutoring, I served as the Academic Officer for my student society. This role involved supporting students with academic resources, including registration and accommodation assistance. Through this experience, I developed strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills - all crucial for navigating administrative processes and providing comprehensive support. I learned to advocate for student needs, build rapport, and handle diverse situations with empathy and understanding.
