Hi there,
My name is Vivian Guido, I am a Canadian citizen interested in teaching in Korea this upcoming year starting in September. I have 6+ years of tutoring, instructing and teaching experience with students of all ages and I am a bachelors degree holder. I have completed my TEFL course and I am looking for a school in and around Seoul to join as an ESL teacher. I have plenty of in class and online teaching experience. I am not currently in Korea however I am extremely interested in this teaching abroad and I would love to learn more about English teaching positions that may be available.
In regards to teaching in Korea, I thought it would be a great experience because I love teaching and have many years of experience in the education field, I am also interested in pursuing teaching in the future and I believe this would be a great way to gain more classroom experience and knowledge. Additionally, I want to find a rewarding job that I enjoy, at the present moment my job seems lacking and it is not rewarding for me. I believe that the education field really makes an impact in the lives of students who are the future of our world and I believe that teaching in Korea can be a rewarding experience for both the students and myself. Finally I really enjoy Korean food and culture and am a very positive outgoing person who enjoys learning new things. I believe that the Korean education system is very advanced and passionate about learning which matches my values and beliefs very well, and for that reason Korea is my first choice over other countries.
I am looking for a day schedule ~9-5 or 10-6 or an afternoon schedule that ends no later than 8 pm. I am open to teaching all levels however most of my experience is with elementary students in grades 2-6 (aged 7-12). I am looking for a positive and relaxed work environment that provides school resources for the teachers/ students and at least 3-5 other foreign teachers. As for class size maximum of about 15 students is preffered.
I do have regular ear piercing and small easily concealable body art that is not visible when covered with jewellery/ clothing.
