Hello

My name is Justin and I am currently living in South Korea. I am originally from the United Kingdom and I hold a Bachelor¡¯s degree in English literature and philosophy. I am currently looking for any vacancies in Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggido for a native English speaker in a public school or at a good and reputable academy.

My last contract finished on February 28th. I am looking for positions that start from March 15th 2021. For academies, l would like vacancies with a morning start time please.

I have over 9 years of experience as an English teacher across elementary, middle and high schools in South Korea. I have conducted classes for kindergarten, co-workers and adults as well. I have spent a long time in Korea and, as such, I feel I am well suited to life here.
I definitely see my long-term future in Korea.

I am a proactive and hardworking teacher and I feel I am able to prepare and lead fun, interesting, and educational classes for language learners of all levels. I love working with children of all ages and as a language learner myself I feel I have a sound understanding of what is involved in second language acquisition. I am a team player but also a responsible individual worker and I have taught both large and small classes before. I feel my experience gives me a distinct advantage in communicating aspects of the English language that Koreans have traditionally found difficult. Furthermore, I have a sound understanding with what techniques are effective in the classroom and how best to engage students while making learning constructive and effective.

I can speak Korean to an intermediate standard and I have sat the proficiency test in Korean administered by the Korean Institute of Curriculum & Evaluation (KICE). In 2010 I attended the Sogang University Language Institute as a part time student for 4 months and I try to study every day. I aim to re-sit the TOPIK exam twice during the next calendar year.

In my spare time I enjoy photography and exercise. I read extensively and have an interest in history, geography and philosophy. I also enjoy traveling having been to over 35 countries.

I am a non-smoker who exercises regularly. My passport is valid and I currently have an E2 visa (valid till the end of March 2021).

Yours sincerely

Justin
