I am an educator whose passion focuses on empowering and educating the young and older minds of my students. My education and experiences traveling abroad have granted me the opportunity to grow and share my expertise with others. I am confident my experiences make me a strong candidate for a teaching position with your school. I have discovered that people of all ages and cultures have a desire for learning and an avid interest in the world. My passion lies upon the prospect of applying my knowledge to students of all ages. I believe that people have thirst for knowledge and drive to understand the world around them.
An effective classroom is maintained through consistency and organization, I found it is also important to include interactive activities and discussions on relevant subjects. There must also be room for flexibility and the ability to make intuitive adjustments to lessons and offering comprehensive assessments that include student input. These strategies are key elements in providing students an environment where they will thrive, retain information, and feel that their needs are being attended to in a personalized, productive manner.
Two of my strong points as a teacher are my education, my experience and easy going personality, these are the tools I will use as an English teacher. In the three years that I have been teaching in America and China I have gained a whole new perspective about how diverse learning cultures are. I also understand how important it is to create healthy relationships with students and staff. I am always open to learn new ways of conducting and creating lessons from my peers and my students. It’s important that the students have some input to their learning environment. I have an indelible rapport with my students. When first came to china I taught Kindergarten, Primary School aged children. Through my little students I was able to practice and improve my skills, I wrote timely lesson plans and participated in school activities with the children. Now I’m in my second year of teaching in China at a Vocational Technical College, I have added more organizational skills and different tools to my toolkit for teaching. I create Business English and Western Culture classes without a book, develop better ways to communicate with my students such as using a computer and a speaker translator and translate homework documents so for lower level students in my class who can’t read English. Participate in activities with the English Corner on campus. As an Girl Scout Camp Business Manager , I effectively delegated tasks to the s staff and campers. My leadership skills were honed with my involvement as a 4H Club Leader. I organized, fostered and judged events ranging from illustrated talks to cooking. Boarding school, administration and 4H leadership were positions that required the usage of my excellent organizational skills.
In my resume, you will find that I have a mixed bag of experiences and places I have been. I find that I am a well-rounded individual because of them. My goal in life is to help English learners of the world feel empowered and free to communicate cross cultural lines. 3. I would like a position located in Seoul or very near Seoul, also i prefer not to work on weekends. I also would like a working environment where i can learn and improve my skills so that i am a effective teacher for the students. I have not problem being directed to ask to do something different.
