Çз I graduated from the George Washington University in Washington, DC where I earned a Bachelor of Environmental Studies with a Minor in Geography. Since I was born in the USA, I have also attended pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school here.
°æ·Â While I do not have formal teaching experience, I was an English and Math tutor for almost three years in high school. My responsibilities included assisting students aged 4-17 with their classwork, supervising the classroom, and grading homework and tests.
I have also been informally helping various Korean family members with their English for most of my life. For example:
• My parents, both Korean immigrants, have often asked for my help in improving their pronunciation, writing letters and emails, learning new words and phrases, etc.
• Earlier this year, I assisted one of my cousins (who lives in Korea) in improving her writing skills for the essay portion of an English nursing exam. She would send me sample essays she had written and I would help her to edit her mistakes and correct her grammar.
• I have two young cousins who live in Israel with their Korean parents. Their first language is Korean, their second language is Hebrew, and English is actually their third language. I have noticed that their English improved greatly during their recent visit to our home in America. They were a bit uncomfortable speaking English with me at first and used mostly Korean. However, simply by encouraging them to use the language and exposing them to my English, they were speaking to me (and to each other) in English very well by the end of the time we spent together.
ÀÚ±â¼Ò°³ 1. Hello~ I am of Korean descent, but I was born and raised here in the USA and I have never been to Korea...yet! English was always my favorite class when I was in school and I have always been an avid reader, so the language is an important part of my life and I look forward to sharing it with Korean students. I, of course, also want to experience life in Korea.

2. I only have piercings in my ears, and I do not have any mental or physical medical conditions.

3. Location: I am relatively flexible (I do not have to be in Seoul), but I would still like to be in at least a mid-sized city. - Age Level: I would ideally like to teach middle school or higher but I am willing to do elementary. I am open to teaching adults as well. I am not willing to teach kindergarten. - Benefits: I would like to receive the standard/typical benefits (housing, airfare at least one way, pension, insurance, severance, at least 10 paid vacation days per year).

4. I can be available on most days from 10am-1pm KST.
Thank you!
