| 자기소개 |
1. My name is Amanda Akers and I am excited to begin my journey, teaching English to the youth of Seoul.
As a Creative Writing major, I truly enjoy the imagery and possibilities of language. In the classroom, I hope to be able to help young children embrace the English language in a creative way through reading, story writing, and other forms of art. I want to have individual connections with my students, building their confidence in the language not only as a skill, but as an enjoyment.
2. I do not have any piercings, body art, or medical conditions.
3. Most important factors, regarding my job would be: working in Seoul, having a daytime schedule, preferably having a class of kindergarten-aged children, and a kind/welcoming working environment.
One of my strengths would be my adaptability. Whether it be a more relaxed institution, or a "by-the-book" one, I feel that I will be able to present myself well given any type of situation.
Also, in addition to teaching young children, I am open to discussing fiction writing and literature with older groups. Although, I am sure that more teaching experience in a classroom setting would be necessary.
