This school takes pride in recruiting, training and retaining high quality teachers. We are a centrally run institution with over 20,000 students and 300 teachers. We offer teachers progressive pay packages as well as numerous opportunities for growth and development as a teacher. That said, there are some differences between DYB and other academies. Please skim the information below to ensure you are interested in a future with our company before arranging an interview time. All teachers must be open to working in all, or most of the below branch locations.
Branch locations: Seoul & Gyeonggi-do (Daechi, Songpa, Junggye, Ilsan, Bundang, Suwon, Suji, Suwon)
Starting Date: Various
Salary:
5 days per week - 2.6 million KRW (Sunday plus one other day off)
6 days per week - 3 million KRW (Monday to Saturday)
Student Level: Elementary to Middle School
Class Size: 10-15
Teaching Hours: Between 2.30-3.00pm to 9.30-10.00pm (except summer/winter vacations)
Length of Classes: 60 minutes
Hours per Month: 120 or 144
Housing: Furnished Single Accommodation or Housing stipend W500,000 per month
Airfare: One-way flight
Severance: One month’s salary paid on completion of 12 month contract
Health Insurance: 50% shared cover of medical insurance (allows you to be treated as a Korean citizen if you become sick. i.e. you pay what a Korean person pays for medical treatment).
Pension: 50%
Holidays: 10 days paid vacation. No national holidays (with several exceptions, ie. Chuseok & Sulnal)
Length of Training: 4 days
Teaching Materials: Provided
Foreign Teachers: about 90 (5-15 per branch)
